Winner of several international competitions, including the Yamaha Foundation in France in 2011 and the Piano à Mayenne international competition in 2012 (2nd prize), Danijel Brecelj performed with several orchestras such as the Slovenian philharmonic orchestra, the Radio and Television of Slovenia orchestra and the Mitteleuropa orchestra of Friuli-Venezia Giulia.

Danijel Brecelj studied piano at the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique de Paris with prof. Roger Muraro, where he obtained the master degree in 2011. He continued to study piano with prof. Rolf Plagge at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg where in 2016 he graduated with a concert master degree.

Methodology

Building proper foundations for musical growth

My approach is very systematic in a way that a student understands every step of the learning process. It is built on European Conservatory tradition. Learning a classical instrument is tightly connected to learning the classical music at the same time.

The first year of study defines your entire future as a musician. A solid technical and theoretical foundation is what prevents the “plateau” that can stop your progress.
